1. Ryan Mallet would have been their starting quarterback and been more effective passer. Remember it was Mallet who saved Michigans season 2007 with big wins over Notre Dame and Penn State. In fact, he should have played the rest of season and would have gained enough experience to have a better chance of beating Ohio State. 2. Their defense would have been better coached and pretty much were the reason the 2007 season was salvaged. Brandon Graham was recruited by Carr and big reason Michigan was had some success last season. I see Rodriguez failing to recruit key players offensively and defensively. Dorsey and Pryor hint hint. 3. Losing Justin Boren to Ohio State, hurt their offensive line strength and getting away from the power running game underutilized Brandon Minor and Carlos Brown. 4. By the way that big win over ND was a giveaway by Charlie Weis failure in coaching quarterbacks with potiential like Jimmy Classen and Brady Quinn. 5. If Carr was still coaching believe he would have beaten Ohio State for their offenses weren't as prolific when Troy Smith was quarterback.
